| Beijing Petroleum University has purchased a V-5 System 2000 with 36 channels for use in oil exploration and research, under a "Research Partner" arrangement. BPU and Phoenix will cooperate on research topics of mutual interest. One of BPU's research topics was presented at the Hangzhou. PRC, Conference on Electrical Methods in Oil Exploration, May, 1990, in a paper titled "Equation for Noise Suppression and Static Shift Correction of MT Data" by Dr. Dai Shikun. BPU is one of the leading educational institutions in China, specializing in many aspects of oil exploration. BPU scientists, under the direction of Professor Mu Yongguang,will apply the system to exploration problems in the limestone-covered sedimentary basins of south China and other areas. |
