Tibet, May, 1995: Dr. Unsworth uploads MT data at site 110, elevation 4,900 metres. Behind him looms Chomolhari, a 7,400-metre peak on the Tibet-Bhutan border. It's a new era for MT in Canada's oil-rich province of Alberta. The University of Alberta, Edmonton, has purchased 10-channel SYstem 200 MT equipment from Phoenix.
With provincial and federal funding, Associate Professor Dr. Martyn Unsworth is developing a pool of broadband and long-period MT systems.
