MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT

It was a pleasure to visit China again in November 2003, for the 6th China International EM Conference at the Ming Tombs, north of Beijing. This was my first visit to China since 1997, and evidence of rapid change, growth and prosperity is everywhere.

The conference summarized the status of EM in China in a large number of oral presentations and posters. Applied EM is thriving, and many interesting R&D projects in EM techniques are underway in various universities.
